Director of Thyroid and Adrenal Disordres Clinic

Diplomate American Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism

Dr. Sam Pourbabak is the Director of Thyroid and Adrenal Diseases at the South County Kidney and Endocrine Center.

He also oversees the Disorders of the Lipids and other aspects of Endocrinology. Dr. Pourbabak was part of the "Artificial Pancreas" research project at the UCLA for closed loop Insulin Pump as well as the development of the Adiponectine as a new Hormonal manipulation of the Obesity.

On a personal note, Dr. Pourbabak is a member of the "Doctors Without Borders" and participated in many of their Voluntary and Humanitarian missions. Dr. Pourbabak speaks French and Farsi. He likes to play Tennis and is a professional swimmer!
